Creative Director

Hey there! I’m Ingrid, one of the Creative Directors of OHDC for our 2019/20 season.

This is my fourth year with OHDC, my third year as a choreographer, and my first year on the Executive Team as CD. I previously served two years as the Social and Events Management Convenor.

I'm in my fourth year at UofT, completing a double major in Psychology and Global Health.

I've been classically trained in ballet for over 15 years now, and I've self-trained in contemporary for about 5 years. Since joining OHDC, I've been able to explore even more styles like jazz, musical theatre and heels.

I am beyond delighted to call this company my dance family, and I hope I can help create our best year yet!

Creative & Sponsorship Directors

Hi! I’m Erinn and I am OHDC’s Co-Creative Director and Sponsorship Director for this season . This is my 9th season with OHDC, and 8th year on exec, previously serving as Sponsorship Director, Treasurer, and Communications Producer.

I did an Ecology & Evolutionary Biology undergrad (with minors in Forest Conservation and Anthropology) at UofT, as well as a Master of Environmental Science. I have been working at an environmental non-profit for the past 2.5 years since finishing grad school.

I only started dancing when I joined OHDC, and have explored a variety of styles over the years from Highland to traditional Chinese dance to belly dancing and jazz.

OHDC has provided me with many lifelong friends, and I can’t wait to see what this season holds!

Administrative Director

Hi there! I am Lily, one of the Administrative Directors for OHDC 2019-2020 season. I am currently in my third year of study in Rotman Commerce specializing in Finance and Economics.

This will be my second year with OHDC. I’ve always loved to dance, specifically contemporary and modern styles of dances. This year, I hope to step out of my comfort zone and explore the many different styles of dances OHDC has to offer.

OHDC has provided me with the opportunity to do what I love and meet people who share the same joy of dance as I do. Last year I had a blast being part of the OHDC family and I can’t wait to see what this year holds for us!

Marketing Director

Hello everyone! My name is Ayurika and I’m OHDC’s Marketing Director for this year! This is my second year with OHDC as well as my second year at UofT studying Humanities.

My dancing journey began in my first ballet class at the age of 3. Later I continued dancing in a folk ensemble in Russia, where I’m from, and graduated after 6 years.

I love OHDC because it has been the most welcoming and inclusive atmosphere I could have ever imagined! I also appreciate OHDC for the opportunity to explore many more dance styles.

Hope to see many of you in our 2019-2020 show pieces!

Hi there! I’m Olivia, OHDC’s Treasurer for the year 2019-2020. This is my second year with OHDC, and my first year on exec as Treasurer. I’m currently in my third year at Rotman Commerce specializing in Public Accounting.

I joined OHDC last year and it turned out to be the best decision I’ve made in university. I learned traditional Chinese dance and Salsa while as a kid. OHDC has allowed me to explore a lot more styles like hip-pop and KPOP.

OHDC has provided so much joy to me, and I can’t wait to share the same feeling with you this year!

Technique Director

Hello! I’m Emma, OHDC’s Technique Director for 2019-2020.

This is my fourth year with OHDC and my second year as Technique Director. I’m currently in my fourth year at U of T, majoring in Criminology with minors in Psychology and French.

I started dancing over 17 years ago and my favourite style is classical ballet, though I also have training in jazz, contemporary, musical theatre and Bollywood.

I love OHDC because it gives seasoned and beginner dancers alike a chance to improve their technique, gain performance opportunities and find a dance home on campus. I hope to see you at my workshops this year!

Production Manager

Hullo! I'm Pearlyn, the Production Manager for this season. This is my 7th season dancing with the company, and I've been a choreographer for the last 2 seasons.

I graduated in 2016 with a BSc (Specialization: Psychology; Minor: Buddhism, Psychology and Mental Health) from UofT, went on to do a graduate program in Clinical Research, and currently work as the Research and Knowledge Lead at the Canadian Mental Health Association.

I went through a few years of ballet classes when I was younger, but I took a long break until circa 2012 when I took up contemporary and jazz classes again. I also joined OHDC the same year and have had an amazing journey branching out of my comfort zone into other styles like belly dance, folk dance, hip-hop etc.

As evidenced by my pretty long tenure with the company, I love being a part of the OHDC family. Here is a warm, all-inclusive, completely non-judgmental space that I hope you'll come to call home.

Events Management Convenor

Hey everyone, I’m Jessie! This is my fourth year dancing with OHDC, but my first on the exec team, as Events Management Convenor.

Growing up all over the world, dance has always been an important part of my life, since baby ballet at 3 (I was a ladybird!)

I competed for 4 years before joining OHDC, when I came to UofT to study Sociology. I’ve since left to work in merchandising.

I enjoy all forms of artistic expression, and love how dance allows me to express beauty and emotion through movement. Having tried out many styles, contemporary remains my favourite. Something I appreciate about this team is the freedom to explore individuality while being part of a wonderful inclusive community.

I am so excited for the fun events we are planning, and getting to know you all! Here’s to a great year and another wonderful show.

Fundraising Convenor

Hi I’m Sherine, the fundraising manager for this year!

I am in my fourth year at Rotman Commerce.

This is going to be my third year with OHDC. I really like this club because it gives you a way to take a break from studying and to make new friends at UofT.

I have been dancing ballet since I was six, and when I joined OHDC I was able to dance contemporary, which is a style that I had always wanted to try.
